How we plan the cameras
We walk the site with you and follow where trouble starts and ends: the door, the till, the dock, the lot. Each spot gets either a wide view or a close one for faces and plates, mounted 30 to 45 degrees down so glass and headlights do not wash it out. Washrooms and change rooms stay out of every view.
Cable, power and recording
Every camera gets its own solid copper Cat6 run back to a PoE switch sized for all of them at night, when the infrared draws the most power. Runs past 100 m get a second switch or fibre. The hard drive is sized to how many days back you need, and we check it is recording before we leave.
Your gear or ours
We install whatever brand suits the job, or the cameras you already bought at about $250 each. Recording stays on a local NVR, so there is no monthly fee unless you choose one. At handoff we set up phone access for the people who need it and show them how to pull a clip.

What we fix on other installers’ jobs
Some of our calls come from owners whose first install was done the cheap way. These are the ones we see most.
A standard camera pointed straight at a glass storefront or a parking lot exit. At sunrise, or when headlights swing toward the building, the picture goes white.
We swap in a camera with true WDR of at least 120 dB, set the shutter by hand and re-angle the bracket 30 to 45 degrees down so it catches faces and plates, not the glare.
Cameras that reboot at night. Long runs were done on copper-clad aluminium (CCA) cable, and when the infrared turns on the camera draws more power than the cheap cable can carry.
We rerun the line in solid copper Cat6 and put the cameras on a dedicated PoE switch sized for every camera running at once, 24/7.
A recorder with too little hard drive space, so older footage is gone sooner than the owner thinks.
We size the drive to the number of days you actually need to go back, then check it is recording before we leave.
Loose, exposed wire stapled across walls and ceilings, with nothing organized at the recorder.
Outside runs go in conduit or under the overhang, inside runs are hidden where the building allows, and the rack is dressed so the next service call is quick.

How long does a commercial install take?
Our 8-camera heritage restaurant took 2 days, the 12-camera strip plaza took 3 and the 24-camera warehouse took 5, including lift work. We give you the schedule with the quote.
Can you install while the business stays open?
Yes. In the Mississauga warehouse we ran scissor lifts across active shipping zones and did the biggest cable pulls over a weekend, so operations never stopped.
Can you install cameras my business already bought?
Yes, at about $250 per camera, as long as the cameras, recorder and drive work together. We check them before we confirm the quote.
Do you work on new commercial buildings?
Yes. We work with general contractors on new builds and plan the cable routes before the walls and ceilings close, which is cheaper than fishing cable later.
Do commercial camera systems need a monthly fee?
No. We record to a local NVR with its own hard drive. Cloud recording or monitoring only costs extra if you choose it.
